Niki has been dancing hula since the age of four. She is passionate about the practice because of the way she is able to connect with and share stories of the land, gods, goddesses, and history through hula. Creating this piece of art allowed Niki to combine her love of hula with her love of the ocean, a place where she has surfed and shared time with family her entire life.
